Constraints in adoption of production technologies in cumin (Cuminum cyminum L.)

Abstract

A study was conducted in four districts of Rajasthan, namely, Jodhpur, Pali, Bikaner andJaisalmer, to study the constraints in adoption of production technologies in cumin (Cuminumcyminum). The study revealed that non-availability of seeds of high yielding varieties at propertime, lack of knowledge and interest, high cost of seeds, fertilizers and pesticides, lack oftechnical guidance and lack of finance were perceived by farmers as main constraints inadoption of improved technologies.
