Abstract

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc., Zingiberaceae), a perennial herbaceous spice crop, is usually grown as an annual by small and marginal farmers in Kerala, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Sikkim and Mizoram in India.
